Seams they don't know what else to put in the reality shows, now there is a new one with Sylvester Stallone and Sugar Ray searching for the next great boxer.....please......

In a funny note, I was watching "Dodgeball" last night.

    "F@#$%^ Chuck Norris !!!!"

I thought it sounded ridiculous when I first heard of it too...

...but from the previews I've seen of the Contender, it actually looks interesting...

Didn't they try and air both of those in the last half of last year? I was wondering what happened to those shows.

Don't know pappette, I usually don't follow those shows.....with the exception of "The biggest Looser" and "The great Race"

NBC and Mark Burnett (the guy behind Survivor and the Apprentice) were making the Contender and wanted to get it on the air last fall.

Fox did the thing that Fox does and heard about the idea, got Oscar De La Hoya, threw together The Next Great Champ and beat NBC to airing it. The show bombed and ended up airing about half of it's season on Fox Sports Net.

Fox did the same thing with Trading Spouses (Fox) and Wife Swap (ABC) and Nanny 911 (Fox) and Super Nanny (ABC)

There are actually several ongoing law suits about all of these shows charging Fox with stealing ideas.

And also The Swan (Fox) and the original Extreme Makeover (ABC)

And, its a bit of a stretch, but Who Wants to Marry my Dad (ABC) and Who's Your Daddy (Fox)

And it's too bad that the other networks never got their versions of Fox classics:

Celebrity Boxing (I will never forget Barry Williams vs Danny Bonaduce)

Playing it Straight (14 dudes trying to get 1 girl....but some of the dudes are gay! If the girl picks a gay dude, SHE LOSES!!)

And the best show that Fox never even aired I Want A Divorce where it's rumored one of the contestants pulled a knife and tried to stab the host of the show and their soon to be ex!!
